The Rockville Racers
The Rockville Racers Swim Team is a summer swim team of approximately 110 swimmers aged 18 and younger who reside in the western end of Hanover county Established in 1975, our team competes in the Greater Richmond Aquatic League.
For meets, our team partners with the Dolphin Club swim team, based out of the Weinstein JCC in Richmond. Our combined team name is RVDC (Rockville Dolphin Club). Each team has their own facility, their own practice schedule, and their own coaches. We merely partner together during competition to allow the small number of DC summer swimmers the opportunity to participate in a summer rec league.
Our mission is to provide a safe, positive, and fun summer swim environment for swimmers of all skill levels.
Our team is a great introduction to the sport for first-time swimmers. Swimmers of all levels of competition are welcome, but must be able to swim half the length of the pool without stopping, touching the pool bottom, or hanging on the lane line or side wall by the end of the first week of practice.
